It seems like we're playing games when we misunderstand each other based on our different cultures and expecations that we don't know how to communicate well.
That's why I started this blog. To help clear up that kind of misunderstanding and build a place for discussion and mutual understanding.
So, I love the Baha'i Writings on the subject of marriage - they're clear and they're strong and they're universal - doesn't matter what gender you are, or what childhood you had, or what country you live in, or what struggles and goals you have now. Nope, you read the Writings, and make slow (sometimes fast) changes, commiting to the high standards.

And, to aid in our communication and efforts please also consider studying:
1. Elika and Tarry's compilation workbook on Marriage:
2.then read the Marriage Transformation book, Pure Gold, together.
3. And for some real intensity, try doing the Marriage Transformation, Can We Dance Workbook together.
4. Very handy too, is Marriage and Family Life.
5. And always!!! listen to these amazing talks on men's responsiblity, and preserving Baha'i marriages part one and two from the Universal House of Justice. Actually all the links in the "Audio" section are really good including the Beautiful Life on Baha'i Marriage. Very therapeutic.
