Think of yourself as a Human Resource

And choose a partner accordingly.... look at their character and your own (look at our own first). In the book, "Can We Dance" the authors encouraged us to think of choosing a marriage partner as if you were seriously choosing a dance partner... first you'd have to develop your own skills at being a dancer - assess your own interest in it and develop the basic dance moves and know your strengths and weaknesses (areas of improvement). "Know thyself" and this helps one develop the skills of discernment in others. Know what "brings you loftiness and abasement" and choose a partner that brings out the best in you (not the worst -that's an uphill battle).

If our purpose is to "know and love God" - what qualities help me do that? What kind of character of person and their personality - would bring out the best "knowing and loving" God qualities - to help me be selfless and God-centered (vs self-centered)? Help me serve humanity better? Grow virtues?

With whom could I do this and help them do the same?
